About

I'm an experimental furniture designer and maker based in London.

My practice is balanced at an intersection where traditional and contemporary craft converge. Underpinned by a cycle of research and development, my design approach is rooted in experimentation through making, material exploration and a direct hands on engagement with manufacturing process in order to find interesting and unexpected results.

My work to date has been about exploring and interpreting notions of rusticity and natural form through the language of digital manufacturing technology. It can be defined by a hybrid aesthetic somewhere between natural and artificial, rustic and sophisticated. These furniture objects embody a unique design language that acknowledges tradition whilst also questioning what craft can be in the digital age.

As well as developing my studio practice, I take on bespoke commissions for private clients, interior designers and architects.

** From Oct 2018 - April 2019 I will be undertaking a full time design residency at Kyoto Design Lab, Kyoto Institute of Technology**
